Bridgewaters in NYC is Our Upcoming Wedding Venue

Michael Candullo & Mary Kim Wedding August 28th, 2009 Bridgewaters in NYC is a little piece of South Street Seaport wedding heaven.  Last Spring we began planning the flowers and décor for a wedding taking place at Bridgewaters in Manhattan's beautiful downtown harbor. Bridgewaters is a full service catering facility.  The wedding at Bridgwaters NYC will be taking place on August 28th of 2009.  When weddings take place at venues we may be unfamiliar with, the first step is to take a walk through of the venue with the clients to get a better idea of exactly what is going to be needed.  During the walkthrough with the bride, Mary Kim, and the groom, Michael Candullo, Abu was able to visualize what should be used to dress up this South Street Seaport wedding.

Bridgewaters Wedding Space

After viewing the Bridgewaters NYC wedding space, Abu and his clients decided that it would be best to use a mix of high and low arrangements to create more depth in Bridgewaters' very open space.  The space also has a lot of outside light with wrap-around windows and amazing views of the Brooklyn Bridge and downtown Manhattan.  Any bride who has ever wanted to be married by the water may consider a Bridgewaters South Street Seaport wedding.  Abu wanted to make sure the arrangements didn't get lost in the space.  Michael and Mary agreed and they all sat down to come up with a plan.  They decided to use bold colors in the arrangements to make them really stand out in the Bridewaters wedding room.  They chose bright greens, purples, creams, and whites.  Abu created a sample during this consultation using white hydrangea, jade roses, black calla lilies, purple dendrobium orchids, and premium greenery in a tall glass vase accented with river rocks and submerged calla lilies.  The clients loved the sample and knew that it would be perfect for their special night at Bridgewaters in Manhattan's downtown harbor.

South Street Seaport Wedding Details

Because the Bridewaters wedding venue was so open, they also need to formulate some way to divide the space to accommodate the ceremony and reception.  Bridgewaters provided them with bland brown partitions on wheels.  They were not visually appealing at all, but of course, Abu had an idea in mind.  He decided he would transform the partitions into works of art, covering them with a delicate white fabric and accenting the piece with beautiful white flowers that would be appropriate for both the ceremony and reception. A South Street Seaport wedding with white flowers and a starry night create beautiful contrast. The bride then chose her personal flowers, going with an all-white bouquet and a green and purple bouquet for her bridesmaids.  The groom and his groomsmen would wear orchid boutonnières and the parents would also have orchid corsages and boutonnières.

Bridgewaters Wedding Just a Few Weeks Away

The Bridgewaters wedding is a few weeks away and all of the final decisions have been made. Mary and Michael are really looking forward to coming together with their friends and family at Bridgewaters to celebrate their union and enjoy a night filled with great people, delicious food, and, of course, breathtaking décor and South Street Seaport wedding scenery.
