Fall in the Big Apple

Posted on October 27, 2015

With crisp leaves falling from the trees and the excitement of trick or treating in the air, fall is in full swing! The Big Apple Florist store is alive with seasonal accents and fall floral. Oak leaves, miniature pumpkins, berries and magnolia adorn many of the fall centerpieces and gifts leaving our store. Seasonal colors of orange, bronze and burgundy give this month's floral arrangements the feeling of warmth just as the chilly winter air lurks ahead. Choosing fall varietals that work well in arrangements during this time of year takes special care. As the bold summer hues have since past and the crisp colors of winter are not yet here, we choose warm tones and earthy floral to celebrate autumn. Pods and foliage are the perfect way to distinguish a fall floral arrangement from the rest of the year. During October we chose to highlight varietals like sedum and laceflower these give a soft, lush texture to designs that feature more structural items like red succulents and airplants. Whatever you choose for your fall gifting needs be sure to ask for festive touches as autumn won't be here for long!
